Chandler Romeo received a B.F.A. from Colorado State University with a concentration in Ceramics. Since that time, Ms. Romeo has lived and worked in the Denver area. She has received project grants from the Colorado Council on the Arts, the Montana Arts Council, and in turn has served on many panels and committees including the Mayor's Task Force for Creative Spaces, Public Art Subcommittee and many public art and grant selection panels. Ms. Romeo has created permanent and temporary installations (including public art) in a diverse array of media, including steel, concrete, ceramics, wood, textiles, found objects, earthworks, and drawing. Her work has been exhibited in galleries, art centers and museums throughout the region, including the Arvada Center for the Arts & Humanities, Colorado Springs Fine Art Center, Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder, the Denver Art Museum, Emmanuel Gallery, Ironton Studios, Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, Museum of Contemporary Art-Denver, Museum of Outdoor Arts in Englewood, Nicolaysen Museum in Casper WY, and Weilworks Gallery. Her work is represented in public and private collections throughout the United States. |
