Artist Statement:  I believe art should make no apologies for being beautiful.  As an artist I roam around the brilliant fields of the sensory, seduced by the intricate beauty of nature.  The content in my paintings is a metaphor for the natural world—all that we see, feel, smell, taste and hear.  As a Colorado native, my landscape paintings often represent a distant view of the city that I saw as the “land of opportunity” when I was a young man.  The fragmentary way my work is put together is reflective of the way life is an assembled kaleidoscope of experience, memories and expectation.  There is usually a spiral imbedded in the ground of the painting, a universal symbol of nature’s dynamic.  His work reflects his reverence for Colorado as well as beauty and nostalgia.
